Who I am
This little shop is really special to me, and it’s all thanks to my journey with art. For me, making art has been like finding my own way of speaking.
When I was five years old, I was diagnosed with something called pragmatic speech delay. This meant talking was really hard for me. I was in special needs classes at school until I was about eleven years old because I could only say short, three-worded sentences until I was eight.
Moving to a regular class in year 6 was a huge step, but I always felt like there was something about me that separated me from my peers. Later, when I was twenty-five, I found out I have autism. This helped me understand myself better.
Even though I had these challenges, I worked hard and finished secondary school. Then, I went to university to study animation, and that’s where I really fell in love with art. It was like I found a way to express myself without always needing words.
This shop is about how art can help us connect and show who we are. It comes from my own story of facing difficulties and finding strength in being creative. When you buy something here, you’re supporting someone who believes in the power of art to tell stories. Thank you for being part of my journey.
